Blockchain for Science Conference 2018

The future of research will be decentralised! As one of the official event partners, we cordially invite you to the 1st international Conference on Blockchain for Science, Research and Knowledge Creation, taking place during the Berlin Science Week. Early bird tickets are available until 1 October 2018: Program and registration.

Blockchain will open new ways for peer-reviewing, the dissemination of content, reproducibility, the use of micropayments, improved digital rights management, new kinds of metrics, earlier recognition, better assessment and different kinds of research funding. In short: It allows a new economy of science. All stakeholders – researchers, funders, policy makers, institutions, publishers, technology companies – are invited to learn and discuss about blockchain technology and its limitations. At the conference, several blockchain for science projects world wide will be attending and showcasing their projects. One of the central questions is how to build the Open Science ecosystem of the future.
