Prof. Dr. Konrad Lachmayer, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law and Professor of Public Law, European Law and Foundations of Law at the Sigmund Freud Private University in Vienna. In two presentations, he will talk about the media and the threat to democracy in the 21st century, as well as about how to deal with legal violations triggered by automated decision-making systems. The first of his two presentations ("Medien und die Bedrohungen der Demokratie im 21. Jahrhundert [Media and the Threats to Democracy in the 21st Century]") will take place as a Leibniz Media Lunch Talk and is therefore open to all interested parties. Please register

Hamburger Gesprächskreis Automatisiertes Entscheiden
The "Hamburger Gesprächskreis automatisiertes Entscheiden" is aimed at external and internal lawyers. In the context of the interdisciplinary research project "Entscheiden über, durch und zusammen mit algorithmischen Entscheidungssystemen [Deciding about, by and together with Algorithmic Decision Making Systems]", the exchange is intended to create a future-oriented network and thus benefit for lawyers and academics of all disciplines who work and research on the automation and digitalisation of legal work in general and legal decision-making in particular. Both concrete issues and the major topics at the interface between practice and research will be addressed.
