Annual Conference of the DGPuK "100 Years Communication Science"

Leipzig, 30.3. to 1.4.2016. The 61st annual conference focused on the jubilee of the research field and the effect of communication research on other scientific and social areas. 500 participants were expected. The following researchers from the Hans-Bredow-Institut were actively involved: Prof. Dr. Uwe Hasebrink, PD Dr. Wiebke Loosen, Lisa Merten, Julius Reimer, Dr. Jan-Hinrik Schmidt, Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Schulz

  • Public Panel Discussion: Kommunikation im Medienwandel – Erwartungen an Forschung und Ausbildung in Deutschland [Communication in Media Transformation - Expectations on Research and Education in Germany] Participants: Carsten Brosda, representative of the Senate of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg for Media, Karola Wille, chairwoman of the ARD and director of Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk, Kay Oberbeck, director Communications & Public Affairs Google Northern Europe, Annekatrin Bock, early-career scholars‘ representative of the German Communication Association (DGPuK), Stephan Ruß-Mohl, professor  for communication science at the University of Lugano and head of the European Journalism Observatory, Chair: Wolfgang Schulz, professor of law at Universität Hamburg, director of the Hans-Bredow-Institut for Media Research.
