Corona-Apps: Tracing, Tracking, Quarantänekontrolle

Katharina Mosene is organising an online conference on corona apps for women only in cooperation with netzforma e.V., an association for feminist network politics. According to the event description, white cis-gender men dominate the current debate, and netzforma wants to change this.

The event will take place from 9:00 p.m. on the BlueJeans video conferencing platform. Please register by sending an e-mail to [email protected].
About the Event
Can an app against Corona help? Will "contact tracing" through the Corona app lead to more state surveillance in the future? Should I download the app when it is released?

In short presentations, three experts will explain how the currently planned contact tracing application is supposed to function technically, what the legal framework is for this app and what such an app could mean for society. This will be followed by the opportunity to ask questions and join the discussion.
The Experts
Johanna Mellentin is a lawyer and has been working for several years on human rights and digitisation, including at Amnesty International. Since March she has been a research assistant in the office of Konstantin von Notz at the German Bundestag. She is also a board member of netzforma* e.V.

Lorena Jaume-Palasí is the founder of The Ethical Tech Society, a non-profit organization that aims to research processes of automation and digitization and to classify them normatively in terms of their social relevance. She has been an expert on artificial intelligence and ethics for the European Parliament and the European Commission on several occasions.

Laura Dornheim has a diploma in business informatics and a PhD in Gender Studies. As a manager in a software company, she advocates more diversity in the tech industry.
