Democracy in Flux – Order, Dynamics and Voices in Digital Public Spheres

Prof. Dr. Uwe Hasebrink, PD Dr. Matthias C. Kettemann, Anna Sophia Tiedeke and Martin Fertmann will participate in this year's Weizenbaum Conference on "Democracy in Flux - Order, Dynamics and Voices in Digital Public Spheres". More information and the link to participate is available here.
 
On June 17 from 16:30 to 18:00 CEST PD Dr. Matthias C. Kettemann, Anna Sophia Tiedeke and Martin Fertmann are part of the panel "The Role of Intermediaries in Democracy" and will give the presentation "Intermediaries vs. States or Intermediaries and States: Democracy in the Post-Intermediation Age".
 
On the same day from 19:30 to 21:00 CEST, Prof. Dr. Uwe Hasebrink will participate in a panel on the topic "Between Ivory Tower and Talk Show: How is Academic Relevance Defined?". Other panelists are Heinz Bude (University of Kassel), Viola Priesemann (Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization), and Judith Simon (University of Hamburg).  
 
The annual conference of the Weizenbaum Institute is designed as a hybrid event, participation is possible via livestream after prior registration. The presentations in the panels will be held in English, the panel discussion will be held in German.
