On 14 June 2018, the
Reuters Digital News Report 2018 will be presented to the public in Berlin.
Prof. Dr. Uwe Hasebrink and
Dr. Sasche Hölig of the Hans-Bredow-Institut will present the findings for Germany. Since 2013, the Hans-Bredow-Institut has been the collaborating partner responsible for the German contribution of the international study on news consumption, which is published every year The Digital News Report is the world's largest study of its kind. This year's edition is based on a survey of 74,000 Internet users in 37 countries. The results on the news consumption of Germans will not only be published in English in the Digital News Report but also in German within the series "Working Papers of the Hans-Bredow-Institut."
About the Event
The
Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism of Oxford University and
Zeit Online are inviting to the launch of the 2018 Digital News Report at the ZEIT ONLINE office in Berlin on 14 June at 6:00 p.m. The Digital News Report gives an insight into how today's media consumers inform themselves about world affairs. How do they use social networks? Which level of trust do they have for the news sources they follow and journalism in general? At the launch, the most important international and German findings will be presented and subsequently discussed with leading journalists.
The results of the Digital News Report 2018 will be presented by
Nicholas Newman, Journalist and Digital Strategist with the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, followed by the presentation of the German results by
Prof. Dr. Uwe Hasebrink and
Dr. Sascha Hölig of the Hans-Bredow-Institut. The event will commence at 6 p.m. with an introduction by its chairs Alexandra Borchardt, Director of Strategic Development at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, and Sebastian Horn, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of ZEIT ONLINE.
