Digitale Zukunft – Medienerziehung in der Familie

At the joint symposium of Aktion Kinder- und Jugendschutz Brandenburg e.V. (AKJS) (Children's and Youth Protection Campaign Brandenburg e.V.) and the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam (FHP), Dr. Claudia Lampert will give the presentation "Smart Families - Digitale Medien in der Familie [Digital Media in the Family]".

Digitalisation dominates everyday family life. Smart Devices are increasingly welcomed in the living room at home. Digital toys are finding their way into the children's room. Language assistance systems wait patiently for their application. While digital systems have so far largely been optically linked to clearly identifiable devices, technologies are now disappearing behind common everyday objects and accompanying children from birth.

What does this mean for family life, visits by friends and media education? What are the tasks for the protection of minors from harmful media? What do parents need to accompany their children responsibly? And what answers can science already offer to us today?

These questions will be answered by
  • Dr. Claudia Lampert - Leibniz Institute for Media Research | Hans-Bredow-Institut (HBI)
  • Prof. Dr. Friederike Siller - TH Köln - University of Applied Sciences
  • Marlen Korn - Internet für Kinder, jugendschutz.net
