Hardly anyone in Europe can imagine a life without democracy, and yet it stands on shaky legs. #FridaysForFuture, Save the Internet and the Yellow Vests: many citizens carry their dissatisfaction with political decisions on the one hand and demands for more say on the other into the Net and onto the streets. An inclusive, empowering Internet continues to be an important source of hope. The digitisation of citizenships is also discussed. Do they allow us new forms of participation and thus strengthen European democracy? Or do we risk restrictions through the loss of our anonymity and manipulation possibilities of online elections? Shortly before the European elections, the Digital Salon would like to present opportunities and consequences for discussion.
A registration for Digitaler Salon is not required.
