FGZ-Workshop - Zusammenhaltssensible Berichterstattung

How are journalism and social cohesion related? And how can journalists deal sensitively with questions of social cohesion?
These questions are the focus of three online workshops with journalists, researchers on cohesion and communication experts. The aim of these workshops is to identify the basic principles and limits of reporting that raises awareness of social cohesion issues.

The findings will result in a handbook that will help journalists to become aware of the connections between journalism and social cohesion and provide them with practical recommendations for cohesion-sensitive reporting. The handbook is to be distributed in cooperation with journalists' associations and state media authorities.

The workshops are part of the project " What Journalists Want and What They Ought to Do", which is being carried out within the framework of the Research Institute Social Cohesion (FGZ).
