Hashtag e.V.

Nowadays, commitment also takes place online. Hashtags and posts make it noticeable and individual movements spread with rapid speed sometimes over the whole globe. The #Fridaysforfuture movement, #ichbinhier or Jugend hackt currently show what the new edition of commitment looks like. Online petitions and social media open up new possibilities and seem to reduce barriers. Is the young generation with its opinions and rebellions seen and taken seriously by political actors? Where does the motivation of the digitally committed actually come from? What distinguishes them from the generations before them and from established forms of engagement?

The host Katja Weber (radioeins, Deutschlandfunk Nova) discusses in this Digitaler Salon of the HIIG with exciting guests about engagement in the digital age. The guests will be announced shortly. Due to a series of speeches, the Digitaler Salon this month will exceptionally not take place on Wednesday, but on Thursday, 29 August 2019!

The Digital Salon opens its doors at 6:30 p.m. From 7:00 p.m., the show will be broadcast live on hiig.de. Then it is time to join in - on location and via Twitter via #DigSal. The Digitaler Salon takes place every last Wednesday of the month under a different theme. Recordings of past Digitale Salons and more information can be found here.

Registration is not required for the Digitaler Salon.
