Kleinere und mittlere Plattformen im Superwahljahr

From 5.30-7.00 p.m. CEST,  Christina Dinar and Katharina Mosene will discuss good practices for good content moderation and a fair online election campaign with guests. The discussion will be streamed live on the TIDE Hamburg YouTube channel. A recording of the event will be shown on TIDE's TV programme.

About the Event

When people think of social media, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube immediately come to mind. However, the platform ecosystem is much richer. Smaller and medium-sized platforms have not received much visibility in media research and internet regulation so far. In the conversation, various small and medium platforms will discuss their approach to the challenge of user-generated content and provide their perspective and approach. Are approaches of nuanced content moderation with community participation a much more transparent and democratic approach that can get by without a Network Enforcement Act? The discussion will make it possible to find new ideas for better platform regulation.
