From 18:15 to 19:45 CEST,
Amélie Pia Heldt and
Keno Potthast will talk with Sebastian Berg from the Weizenbaum Institute about voting in the digital age. The event will take place online, more information on how to register can be found
here. The talk is organized by the
Integrative Research Institute Law & Society (LSI) at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
The conversation, which is conceived as an interdisciplinary dialogue between political science and law, will discuss the implications of the digital age for voting in the Federal Republic. On the one hand, the discussion will focus on strategies for influencing electoral decisions that could potentially endanger democracy, such as so-called microtargeting, and on the other hand, on the opportunities offered by digitization, for example through greater participation in discourse spaces.
