In times of digitalisation and social networks, it is easy to carry lies and hate to an audience of millions. This has an effect on the communication in society, on the trust in democratic processes and the credibility of the media. But how can journalists reply to lies and hate on digital platforms effectively and withdraw themselves from these manipulations?
The Initiative Qualität im Journalismus [Initiative Quality in Journalism] provides a
detailed documentation of the IQ-Herbstforum 2017 (pdf).
The lectures, presentations, interviews and discussions at the ninth Herbstforum of the Initiative Qualität im Journalismus [Initiative Quality in Journalism] at Deutschlandradio in Berlin on 16 October focused on editorial strategies against fakes and hate speech.
