Potenziale und Probleme des Internetvölkerrechts

Matthias Kettemann will give the lecture "Grotius goes Google: Potenziale und Probleme des Internetvölkerrechts [Grotius Goes Google: Potentials and Problems of International Internet Law]" at the Institute for Law and Digitisation at the University of Trier as part of the "Trierer Gespräche zu Recht und Digitalisierung [Trier Talks on Law and Digitisation]."

"Even without an international Internet treaty, international law applies in its entirety to Internet-based information and communication flows and the infrastructure underlying them," says Kettemann. "Rules of customary international law, including the principle of non-interference, and general principles of international law, such as the principle of due diligence, form the normative framework for the conduct of international legal entities. Internet governance complements international law."
