Roundtable on Inclusive AI – Workshop Event in Cooperation with the European Commission

The Roundtable Workshop at the Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society (HIIG), moderated by Katharina Mosene, focuses on the topics "AI and Discrimination" and "AI in Human Resources Management". 

On the occasion of the white paper on artificial intelligence (AI), the representation of the European Commission in Germany together with the AI & Society Lab at the Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society (HIIG) is organizing several roundtables on AI and various social focus topics starting in late summer and invites representatives* from science, politics, business and civil society to attend.

Session 1: KI und Diskriminierung: Wo sind Minderheiten oder andere Gesellschaftsgruppen von Diskriminierung durch KI betroffen?

Session 2: KI im Personalmanagement und in der Verwaltung: Potentiale und Probleme

The aim of the event series is: 

  • to continue the exchange between different interest groups on the topic of AI on the basis of concrete practical examples;

  • to find out what constitutes Europe as a business location and what a European AI could look like in concrete terms;

  • to identify barriers, regulatory gaps, and fallows in the funding landscape, and to discuss what conditions a market for European AI needs;

  • to strengthen personal contacts between the participants in order to launch joint initiatives

This workshop will be held in German.

Participation in the event is by invitation, therefore online registration is not possible.
