About the Project
Within the cooperation project “Transnational Media History”, the Research Centre Media History at Universtität Hamburg/Hans-Bredow-Institut and the Centre for Media History at Macquarie University in Sydney work together since 2015 in order to research a history of media beyond national boundaries. The focus lies on the frequent exchange of scientists in the fields of media and communication history between Hamburg and Sydney. Joint workshops, conferences and research projects will take place. The starting point of this cooperation is the research approach of “Entangled Media Histories”, drawing upon and contributing to a “histoire croisée”, a connected history or Verflechtungsgeschichte in the field of media and communication history.
