Dr. Mariëlle Wijermars from the
Aleksanteri Institute of the University of Helsinki is research fellow at the Kolleg "Algorithmed Public Spheres" from February until May 2018. During this time, Mariëlle will conduct a study on news aggregators during the Russian presidential elections in March 2018 and will investigate the impact the Russian “anti-fake news” regulation has on news aggregators, what news items are displayed - or not.
