On the Shortlist of the "Opus Primum" Award of the Volkswagen Foundation!

Only ten of overall 90 books made it onto the shortlist of the “Opus Primum” Award of the Volkswagen Foundation for the best publication of young researchers published in this year. The dissertation of Alina Laura Tiews is one them!

The Publications that will be awarded are not only of high scientific quality but they are also easy to read and to understand by a wider audience. The advisory council of the Opus Primum Award will determine this year’s award recipient on 13 November 2017. The winner of the prize, which is endowed with 10,000 euros, will be announced after the Frankfurt Book Fair.

Alina Laura Tiew, "I would like to invest the prize money into my new research project on the history of the fair 'Hamburger Dom'. Since the beginning of the year, I have prepared the project besides my other research. I already reviewed several sources and talked to network partners. The 'Opus Primum' Award would be the perfect beginning to start off with the project!"
