Together with the
Centre for Media, Communication and Information Research (ZeMKI), the HBI has launched a website that makes innovative journalistic projects visible.
An interactive map of Germany provides data on various editorial offices, journalistic start-ups and projects that are developing journalism in various experimental fields, especially digitally. Organisations that specifically promote innovation in journalism are also included. The directory will be continuously expanded. Those who are interested can submit information about their company to the researchers via an easy-to-use
submission tool.
The website was developed within the framework of the joint research project
"Pioneer Journalism: The Re-Figuration of Journalism's Organizational Foundations" of the research network
"Communicative Figurations", in which the Centre for Media, Communication and Information Research (ZeMKI) at the University of Bremen and the Leibniz Institute for Media Research | Hans-Bredow-Institut in Hamburg are significantly involved.
The website "Pioneer Journalism in Germany" can be reached via
