Prof. Dr. Wiebke Loosen travels to Israel today with a delegation of 70 representatives from politics, business and science. The aim of the three-day trip is to expand the exchange and cooperation in the fields of science, education, business and innovation with the high-tech country of Israel.
In addition to Hamburg's Senator for Economics Michael Westhagemann, the Second Mayor Deputy Mayor of Hamburg and Senator for Science, Research and Equality Katharina Fegebank (Greens) as well as the Economics and Education Ministers of Schleswig-Holstein, Bernd Buchholz (FDP) and Karin Prien (CDU) will take part in the trip.
The programme includes visits to innovative start-ups and renowned scientific institutions such as the
Weizmann Institute of Science at Tel Aviv University. At the end of the official part of the trip, the delegation will visit Yad Vashem, the world's largest memorial to the victims of the Holocaust.
