Rechtliche Anforderungen an KI-Entscheidungen in Verwaltung und Justiz

Rechtliche Anforderungen an KI-Entscheidungen in Verwaltung und Justiz

In the anthology "Arbeitswelt und KI 2030" [Working World and AI 2030], Johannes Schmees and Dr. Stephan Dreyer describe the current guidelines for the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in administration and justice. They also offer cautious considerations on concerning the direction in which the use of AI by the state could be developed.

Abstract
In view of the increasing complexity of society and the accompanying necessary modernisation and digitalisation of administration and justice, the increased use of artificial intelligence (AI) systems is being considered. There are particular limiting requirements or even hurdles for the implementation of AI systems in this area. The article highlights the hurdles, describes further challenges and possible solutions, and takes a cautious look at the near future development of the state's use of AI.
