Jan Rau talks about the digital infrastructure of far-right extremism and about interventions and countermeasures in the "Zwischenraum" evening salon at the Hamburg bar HADLEY's. What dangers are we confronted with? What can law and courts do? What is happening in prevention work? And what can each individual do?
The extreme right-wing terrorist attacks in Christchurch and Halle, which were streamed live on the Internet, the storming of the Capitol and the attempted storming of the Reichstag have made it clear that the internet is a crucial maneuvering space for (digital) right-wing extremism and that this represents a danger to democracy through the digitally controlled influencing of public discourse. The topic of the evening is how we can counter these challenges.
